Workshop Foreman / Fitter
Cambridge Depot

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To prioritise and maximise the availability of plant for hire. Working within budgets, the foreman will allocate and monitor workload of workshop staff, coach and develop staff and ensure health and safety of all employees within the depot meet the highest standards.
  • The foreman will ensure that all company plant is serviced and maintained in accordance with manufacturers and company guidelines and that complete and accurate records are kept of all servicing and repairs carried out.
  • To source and purchase spare parts economically and within time frames to maximise fleet availability
  • The foreman will also review and establish the training needs of all workshop personnel in conjunction with the depot manager, providing one to one coaching where appropriate or alternatively recommend for external training courses.

EXPERIENCE

  • the ideal candidate will be a fully qualified plant mechanic and will have supervisory experience gained within the Hire or Construction industry.

Working hours will be basic 45 hours Monday to Friday

Mobile Fitter – Harlow Depot

Reporting directly to the Workshop Foreman you will be required to diagnose faults, repair, service and prepare for hire our full range of Plant, Tools and Equipment. You will also be required to carry out repairs on our customers sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experience with diesel / petrol engines, hydraulic machinery and electrics.
  • Ensure job sheets, pre hire sheets and all associated paperwork are completed promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure Health & Safety and Company procedures are met at all times.
  • Be reactive and punctual at all times.
  • Have the ability to work on own initiative and also as part of a team.

EXPERIENCE

  • CITB/NVQ qualification preferred but not essential.
  • Previous Plant/Tool Hire experience is essential
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Company vehicle to be supplied.

Sales Representative – Suffolk / Norfolk

THE ROLE: In line with the company objectives to generate new and develop existing customers, to maximise revenue opportunities within a designated area covering depots in Cambridge, Kings Lynn & Newmarket. To ensure retention and growth of the customer base through a structured management of the customer portfolio. To work with the groups depots and other sales personal within the company network. To take complete responsibility for the targeted sales activities within the defined patch, ensuring all current business opportunities and key accounts are developed to their maximum potential. Alongside the traditional account management responsibilities you will also seek out new business opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To identify the existing customer base and visit these customers on a regular basis
  • To identify potential new customers cultivate relationships and convert these to trading customers
  • Maintain close contact with key account portfolio customers
  • Ensure all customers within the region are serviced effectively to maximise hire and sales opportunities.
  • To monitor and negotiate prices to ensure the company remains competitive.
  • Monitor stock levels with Operations, to ensure the most efficient response to customers.
  • Respond to and resolve customer complaints ensuring a quick and amicable resolution is achieved.
  • Continually promote a customer service orientated culture within the region
  • Contribute ideas to the business development team and organisation.
  • Ensure consistent high quality of customer satisfaction

 

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:

  • Communications skills, ability to communicate both written and verbal, and express views to all clients across multi sectors and different levels of seniority.
