Apprentice Plant Mechanic

An apprentice is required to carry out 2 year on the job training together with block release college attendance to attain the qualification of Level 2 Construction Equipment Maintenance Mechanic. Successful apprentices will have the potential to enhance their training for a 3rd year to gain a qualification as a Level 3 Construction Maintenance Technician.

Main duties of the apprentice will include:

Servicing our full range of Plant & Tool hire equipment.
Carry out pre and post hire checks.
Diagnostics & rectification of faults.
Electrical systems
Hydraulic systems.
Removal and replacement of components.
Completing job sheets, pre hire sheets and all associated paperwork.
Abide by all company Health & Safety procedures.

Hours of work to be discussed at time of interview dependent on age.
Salary will meet government minimum wage for apprentices.
The successful applicant will have a place reserved for them on the first available course at National Construction College (Bircham Newton)
